At our headquarters in Bonaero Park, Safair Operations, also known as FlySafair, is looking for an Administrator: Lost Property. The successful individual will report to the Manager of Aviation Security.

Responsibilties

  • Collect misplaced things left by travelers at FlySafair stations.
  • Arrange misplaced objects according to the duration of the loss.
  • Whenever possible, contact passengers to coordinate property pickup.
  • Engage in conversation with passengers who have reported missing objects.
  • Return found missing things to airports so that travelers can pick them up.
  • When necessary, assist in delivering misplaced things to couriers so that passengers can pick them up;
  • Locate and follow the owners of misplaced passports and identity documents.
  • Assist the call center crew and luggage handlers with questions regarding missing property.
  • Record and organize misplaced stuff, keep track of lost and found items, and maintain journals.
  • Observe protocols while handling priceless or fragile misplaced items;
  • Coordinate with other agencies or departments as needed (for example, security, aviation, or law enforcement).
  • Maintain an accessible and well-organized lost and found area.
  • Assist passengers by informing them about lost property policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Matriculation,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and solid administrative skills.
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication skills.
