Requirements :
- Grade 10/12 with 3–5 years of driving experience.
- A valid code 10 (C) driver’s license with PDP (will renew at own expense).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS) Act, Batho Pele Principles, and government fleet and transportation policy, will be advantageous.
- Ability to complete routine chores.
- Capability to perform under pressure.
- Good interpersonal relations.
- Effective communication and human relations skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver clean linen and collect soiled linen from hospitals and clinics.
- Counting linen bags before uploading and offloading in the presence of supervisors.
- Delivering food to client hospitals.
- Vehicle inspection before and after each journey.
- Notify the Transport Officer of any defaults.
- Ensure that vehicles are fumigated before and after each delivery.
- Follow Health and Safety Policies.
- Follow transportation policy.
- Punctuality.
- A willingness to work shifts and overtime.
