What are your responsibilities as an IT intern?
Lead and improve analytical initiatives, and communicate to leaders the findings of your business unit/category/region.
Analyze your company’s varied, granular data and utilize advanced models on a regular basis to give business insights across multiple business categories.
Respond to and anticipate crucial business questions and opportunities, and communicate insights to the business in meaningful ways.
To gain business insights from our mountains of data, demonstrate the usage of data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Excel) and analytic tools (Python, R, SQL, KNIME/Alteryx).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, IT, and Sales) to improve critical business priorities based on data insights.
Job Qualifications
Part-time study toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Operation Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Statistics, Physics, Analytics, and so on).
Experience tackling identified business challenges utilizing analytics methodologies (AI/Machine Learning, Econometrics, Operations Research, Statistics, Root Cause Diagnostics).
Capability to illustrate, translate, and explain complex data into straightforward business conclusions and actions.
Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to tell a compelling story to persuade others to accept your suggestions based on data and insights.
Data management and visualization skills/tools in one or more of the following areas are required: Databricks, SQL, KNIME, Tableau, Power BI, JMP/SPSS, or a similar package.
Python/R proficiency or demonstrated technical competence and desire to learn.
Self-motivated to work with varied business scenarios, prioritizing many tasks, and has a business and consultancy mindset, while also being technically (data) smart and passionate about developing new/innovative ways of doing things.
This is a 12-month contract position that requires you to devote 3-4 days a week to the internship.
