Purpose
To deliver service excellence through efficient customer service, point of sale (POS) operational activities and merchandising in store that leads to a positive customer experience.
Job description
Objectives of The Job
- To carry out all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment for purchases, including processing clubcard benefits
- To ensure that currency is always handled safely.
- To promote the Clicks clubcard and enroll new clubcard members in order to meet clubcard participation goals.
- To make customers aware of promotions in order to boost sales and ensure that customers “feel good and pay less”.
- To provide exceptional customer service by serving as a brand ambassador, remaining visible, and providing a polite and professional service.
- To effectively carry out and maintain all merchandising and general housekeeping duties in accordance with store and visual merchandise standards.
- To support the Group’s aim of becoming the customer’s first choice health and beauty shop by embodying and promoting the business values.
- Maintain current knowledge of items, ranges, specials, and events in order to deliver accurate information to customers at all times.
Knowledge:
- Basic mathematical computations
Retail/FMCG experience and knowledge of merchandising and promotion principles - Understanding of Stock Management Procedures
Knowledge of customer service excellence.

Minimum prerequisites
Experience:
- Desirable experience in a consumer facing job within a retail/FMCG store operations setting.
Education:
- Required: Grade 12.
Desirable: 50% math and 50% English at the grade 12 level.
